Frequently Asked Questions
How do I place an order and make payment?
I am not currently set up for online ordering, but you can send me an e-mail message letting me know which painting(s) or print(s) you are interested in. Once I have that information, I’ll provide a quote including the shipping and handling fee. You can pay via PayPal or send me a check. Just include your preferred payment method in your message and I’ll provide my PayPal link or mailing address in my reply.
How much do you charge for shipping and handling?
For up to five prints as part of the same order, the cost will be $7.50. Please contact me for larger print orders or for orders being shipped out of the United States. The shipping costs for original paintings will vary based on the size and weight of the framed painting and will be calculated on a case-by-case basis.
Do you have a layaway plan if I needed to pay in installments?
I do sometimes sell paintings on layaway. Contact me and we can work something out.
Are the paintings and prints already framed?
Original paintings are already framed and will arrive ready to hang. I put some thought into selecting a frame that I feel best suits each painting. If you want to see how a particular painting is framed before buying it, contact me and I can send you a photo. Prints are sold unframed, matted to fit a standard size frame (either 8x10 or 11x14). I’ve found that ready-made photo frames available from any craft or art supply store usually work well for the prints if you don’t want the expense of custom framing.
I really love one of your paintings but the colors don’t match my house. Can you do a new version of it in a color scheme of my choosing?
No, each painting is a unique piece of art and the colors were specifically selected to match my artistic vision.
Can I get a print in a smaller (or larger) size than is listed?
No, the size of the print is based on the size of the original painting. Prints from 8x10 paintings are matted to fit an 8x10 frame. Prints from 11x14 or 12x16 paintings are matted to fit an 11x14 frame.
If I gave you a photo of my cat, could you do a custom portrait for me?
No. Although all my paintings include cats, they are not intended to be pet portraits. There are many wonderful artists who specialize in pet portraiture, and I’d be happy to refer you to one of my favorites.
Would you consider donating some of your artwork to my animal rescue group for a fundraising auction?
Yes! I love donating my artwork to help animals. While I prefer not to give away my original paintings, I am happy to donate prints. Just send me information about your group and the event at least a few weeks in advance so I have time to select something and ship it to you.
